Meals at Lakeside
At Lakeside, all meals are prepared on site by our hard working catering team.
Breakfast - Served between 8.40am-8.55am
Day boys are offered breakfast on arrival each morning. This consists of toast and fruit juice and a variety of breakfast snacks e.g. cereals, waffles, crumpets, scotch pancakes and croissants.
Alternatively they can choose a piece of fresh fruit.
Residential boys have breakfast in the boarding house.
At the end of each half term, the students are offered a celebration 'Big Breakfast' this is a full cooked English breakfast. This is a breakfast, which the boys always enjoy.
Tuck - Morning break
If students have gained tuck from the previous day's scores, they are offered a filled roll; the rolls are baked fresh on site every morning. They will have numerous healthy choices of filling, which include; tuna, cheese, ham and salad to name but a few.
Lunch - Served from 12.40pm - 13.10pm
Lunch consists of a 2 course meal. Students are offered a main hot cooked meal or a fresh salad with a choice of sides. The meals are always nutritious and healthy. The menu runs on a 6- week cycle so the variety of food served changes each week throughout the half term. Students have a choice of the dessert of the day, yogurt or a piece of fresh fruit.
Residential
The evening meal is prepared and served in the boarding house. The students also help to choose and make the meals. Supper is also available.

Food Safety & Allergens
We are a nut-free school. This applies to all meals prepared on site, as well as any food brought into school by staff, pupils, or visitors.
Our priority is to provide a safe environment where all pupils and staff can eat with confidence. To support this, we fully comply with the requirements of Natasha’s Law, which came into effect on 1 October 2021, ensuring that all food prepared and pre-packed on site is clearly labelled with allergen information.
If your child has a food allergy or intolerance, it is essential that you inform the school and provide relevant medical documentation detailing their allergy or allergies. This enables us to put appropriate support and safeguards in place.
Our catering team will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our food provision or allergen management procedures.
