Learning a foreign language not only encourages and improves communicative abilities, but also prepares students for the world of work and enhances their personal and cultural experiences.

Through Year 7, 8 and 9, the four key skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing are introduced and taught through a series of topics. The topics cover personal and social life, everyday activities, the world around us and the world at work.

 

Understanding of the tenses, structure, and grammatical rules of these languages is engrained throughout the learning. As our students develop their skills, their use of language gradually becomes more challenging and complex. Currently pupils are studying elementary Spanish or French.
