Possible Strike Action by Teachers

 

Dear Parents and Carers,  

 

As you may be aware from the media, the National Education Union has announced a series of strikes across the country, following a ballot of its members. Schools in the south east of England will be affected on the following days:  

 

Thursday 27 April 2023

Tuesday 2 May 2023

 

This strike is taking place because of a national dispute over pay between the union and the Secretary of State for Education and not because of any issues in the school.  

 

I wanted to give you as much notice as possible that learning may be disrupted on these days. I am working closely with the local authority to keep up to date with the situation and I will inform you of the final arrangements as soon as possible.
