Trips & Residential Trips

At Lakeside we pride ourselves on the educational trips we offer. We have regular day trips to places of educational interest, visiting places such as Intech Science Centre, The D-Day Museum, Manor Farm and Calshot Activities Centre.
Students also go on residential trips. Trips to the Brecon Beacons in South Wales this is very popular with both boys and staff. The focus for these trips is geography, history and art.
They will visit places such as Big Pit Museum, Castell Coch and Cardiff Bay. They also visit the National Assembly building and the National Opera House as places of architectural interest. They also go waterfall walking.

There are usually two trips a year to Brean Sands Holiday Park in Somerset. There is one trip for the residential boys and one for the day boys. This is a camping trip where the focus of learning is on social skills, communal living and sharing facilities.
They will visit local amenities such as a working farm, Woodlands Theme Park and socialising in the evening entertainment hall.
